教授 陈彪

Dr. Chan is the Professor of Neurology and Neurobiology, and the Director of the Beijing Institute
of Geriatrics (BIG) at the Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University in Beijing, China and Adjunct Scientist at the Parkinson’s Institute, Sunnyvale, California, USA. Dr. Chan was trained in
Neurology and Neuroscience in both China and the USA. He was the Principal Investigator of a
project awarded by EPA to study the susceptibility genes in a multi-center study in China. Since
his return to China in 2000, he has continued to study the distribution of and risk factors for
Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases in a few unique cohorts in China. He has initiated projects
investigating the role for Traditional Chinese Medicine in prevention of neurodegenerative
diseases. He has also been the Principal Investigator for several multi-center drug trials for
Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and multiple sclerosis. Dr. Chan is the Principal investigator of the
previous MJFF funded trial “A Randomized, Double-Blind, and Placebo- Control Study to Assess the Ability of Slowing Disease Progression and Safety and Tolerability of Green Tea Polyphenols in Patients with Early Parkinson’s Disease.”
